Starting almost exactly one year ago, I began to collect signatures. About three weeks ago myself and a dozen volunteers dropped off 5,500+ petitions. They were signed by Hoosiers ready to hear from an independent voice.
Volunteers and I gathered five hundred more petitions and dropped those off. After they were validated we delivered the forms to the state election commission where I will be placed on the ballot.
There are some more administrative and legal steps but it is out of my hands now.
To recap:
Phase 1: Ask people to sign my petition to get on the ballot. Done!
Phase 2: Get elected.
